If you like apocalyptic genre, Mountain Man by Keith Blackmore has a raging alcoholic paranoid nutcase trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. I thought the book was going to suck given the worn out zombie trope, but it's surprisingly well done. Definitely not pulitzer literature but a fun read.
