Is this what making it feels like, lads?

Also, share your /lit/ accomplishments and moments that made all those hours writing worth it.

Name of the book? It's not yet making it but pretty close anon, congrats.

Not much of an accomplishment, but once I sent a ten page letter to a former girlfriend (she was my girlfriend when I started writing it and became my ex before I finished it kek) and upon reading it she told me it was as if I was talking to her by her side. Basically the letter carried my voice to her.

Also this letter lead us to reconnect and start dating again. All around a pretty proud moment.

I had a conference paper and a short story published within two months after graduating. I went straight into a professional writing job at at pay scale of an entry level engineer once we were dismissed for the coof, and I've written two operating manuals since then. I found the time to write a short story a few weeks ago. I ran into an old grad student instructor I had and spent about an hour with her walking around campus trying to return a laptop. We had a good talk and she laughed at my jokes. Hope to join her for tea next time I'm on campus.

I was stressing about my undergraduate thesis and the professor who was doing most of my reviewing gave me scathing commentary the entire time. After presenting, I was told by other professors to "heavily consider grad school" and my professor told me that he was proud and liked it, he just refuses to give much positive reinforcement during the process. It's not much but it meant a lot to me.

As a lowly, underachieving undergraduate, I don't have any "accomplishments" to my name, but it always feels good to have my philosophy professors and TAs recommend upper year courses to me based on my writing and contributions to discussion. It's nice to have someone take an interest in your education and possibly even recognize some potential.

Finally got out of a slump and began reading and writing regularly again. Planning on submitting the poem I’m working on now to some journals for publication finally. I’ve had one personal essay published before by a shitty uni graduate press but I hated the piece, only submitted it at the request of a professor.
