I think most agree that the US doesn’t, and can’t have a national epic poem, for the simple reason that both the commoner and the elite aren’t interested in poetry all the much, but if you allow novels to be national epics then without a doubt it’s Moby Dick.

That said, I think maybe Pynchon’s Mason and Dixon might be another candidate

I've found that there are basically three types of explicit erotica; the ones that are essentially just a preface to describe sex, the ones that are deliberately titillating literary works and the ones that straddle the difference and are basically the literary equivalent of a high-budget porno movie from the 70s or 80s. My favorite is the latter, especially the ones from the late 19th century.

Whether or not you will start to dislike Jews in particular after reading those materials is largely dependent on the convictions you came in with. Those books lay out pretty compelling evidence that Jews are massively influential and over-represented in many "left-leaning" causes and industries - bolshevism, civil rights, universal suffrage, sexual liberation, pornography, immigration reform, etc. - but your attitude towards those things will determine how your attitude towards Jews changes. If you're unhappy with the current trajectory of "western civilization" your opinion of the Jews will probably sour considerably but if you're on the other side of the aisle then you will gain a new appreciation for what Jews have contributed to society. At any rate, the more "neutral" of those books (the Kenvin MacDonald ones plus Finkelstein) will give you an insight into the Jewish weltanschauung.

You might struggle a bit, but that chart starts easy, Young and Freedman in particular is barely harder than physics at whatever level of schooling you were at aged 17-18. You might be better off just finding a physics syllabus from a university though, some of the choices on this chart are a bit weird. General relativity in particular is extremely hard, the tensor mathematics involved could arguably put it on par with QFT. If you want a dense but thorough textbook for mathematics then you can't go far wrong with Riley, Hobson and Bence.

This chart is very confused. It’s like the maker couldn’t decide whether they were making a list of books *about* neoliberalism, or books that express the neoliberal view point. Like Piketty is categorically not a neoliberal, he’s a major critic of neoliberalism and that’s what the whole point of his book is.

Like, I’d consider any number of books about defending multiculturalism or cosmopolitanism as more fitting in the philosophy section.

At least one book explicitly on the topic of property rights.

Freedom as Development by Amartya Sen would be a good entry for international politics.

A book on humanitarian intervention.

The amount of "eco-fascist" charts containing books which are actually a critique of ecofascism is laughable.

Problem of this chart is moreover any literature on why neoliberalism emerged as a dominant ideological current in the 1970s/1980s as well as its emergence in the 1930s.

Some recommendations (I'm a political historian)
-Quinn Slobodian - The End of Empire and the Birth of Neoliberalism
-Annelien de Dijn - Freedom: An Unruly History
-Mark Blyth's work
-Mirowski is good
-Imagined Communities does not explain neoliberalism AT ALL
-Mudge, Leftism Reinvented. Western Parties from Socialism to Neoliberalsim
-Niklas Rose (Foucauldian sociologist), Governing the Soul, the Shaping of the Private Self

There's more but these are some decent basics touching upon key broader historical transformations beyond the (by now decentered) focus on solely Reagan and Thatcher and the 1980s as pivotal decade
