you have religious, war, and tribal reasons for a tattoo. outside of these you have very few reasons that aren't degenerate. i once heard of a guy who married a woman, but because he worked in a power plant and wasn't allowed to wear any jewellery he tattooed a ring where the ring would be. this way he had a ring when in the powerplant and when he was not in the powerplant he could wear his actual ring which covered the tattoo. this is one of the few circumstances where a tattoo isn't stupid and is actually 'cool' and 'has meaning'

The only tattoos I could possibly imagine ever getting, is the names of God or specific Bible verses, other than that nothing is really appealing to them. MAYBE the names of dead loved ones but even then. I find it ugly and a sign of an ugly personality usually whenever I see a tattoo. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been against them. there’s a funny bit of Gypsy folklore that I grew up with, it says that if you have a tattoo in life when you enter heaven you will be missing that spot where you got tattooed. Meaning you’ll have a hole in your body in heaven. And this wasn’t even used as a scare tactic just something that we accepted as common knowledge.
