Why did you buy Inferno? You probably got gypped out of some money because you didn't buy the whole thing.

Pfft, the game is no more based on the book than any other thing inspired by Dante's/Milton's versions of Hell.

The overall concept of the book is good, but I struggled to read through it. Perhaps it would be better in Italian, but it just didn't flow too well for me and I found it really hard to get a grasp on where I was and just what the jolly crap was going on. People are more in love with Hell than his writing, anyway.

The game is "loosely" based off the book by Dante Aligheri(?). The game is kind of mediocre with the exception some really neat locations. The book however is fantastic. Especially when Dante meets Rugiherri.

the game is a sin. don't buy or play it.

>Dante's Inferno

It's just the names and being in hell. It's nothing like the book. And the book isn't that much. It's just that is really really really famous because it depicted the idea of hell, which was blurry at the time it was written. And also because it turned the spotlight to Italian literature.
TL;DR:
Book is fine. Game is atrocious. Hype for both hits the stratosphere, while they don't deserve it.

But at the end of the day it's all about Taste. So how can you be sure.

Why are you defending a book you haven't read yet?

>> No.1742624

I was not defending it merely remarking upon the fact that it's all about taste so his judgement seems like it really stems from self-imposed importance.
