Why is there such a huge sexual discrepancy between the early and late Platonic dialogues? Why does Plato praise pederasty in his earlier works but criticizes it in his later dialogues?

He literally never "praises" it and is always in some way against it, but when he grew older he began to utterly detest it.

Plato used Socrates as a mouthpiece, and Plato used Socrates as a platform to shout about his own ideas.

So it seems, to me, that Palto was against pederasty or at least homosexuality. But socrates wasn't and was infact into both pederasty and homosexuality.

Plato hates pederasty because Socrates ass raped him. Fact.

Is that so?

Wasn't the love between the males seen as superior precisely because such a relationship would not be steeped in carnal passions and therefore it could foster a much more insightful relationship concerned more with wisdom. So it wasn't exactly the sort of perverse constant ass-to-mouth relationship that we today know as the homosexual lifestyle.

No. Not a single person would claim there was no sex involved. Plato did try to replace the lust under the act of love however.
