But it can be illegal in any part of the world
It doesnt need to be illegal in my own country

The guy mocking you has a point since the question is pretty stupid. People have banned books for many reasons mainly political over the time in many cases. I just wondered if there is something today that is forbidden but still considered worth a read or what other reasons could exist to ban a book. Im more interestes in that desu than in a nicely written book on democracy which is banned in china since its obvious. I am curious for what reasons, where and (if in a western country) for what reason it is banned and if and why its considered good

>forbidden but still considered worth a read
you have a contradiction here. The mainstream of your society is not going to consider any forbidden work 'worth reading' because they will be afraid of associating with something so taboo it was made illegal.

there was this book whose title I can't remember which was mentioned in a thread similar to this one last year I think.
The book was the memoirs of this middle Eastern king completelly fucked over by great Britain after ww1, and he allegedly revealed information which is still classified by British military intelligence. Searching for it is apparently a very good way to get into the MI6 official list of "people to fuck over"
I wish I remembered more, but perhaps you can find the thread on warosu.
