After I read Cervantes other novel-Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda.
I'm thinking of going with the Smollet translation next.thoughts?

I tried reading the Smollett "translation" (he just copied the Jarvis one), but it's extremely disgusting. He adds words to make purple prose–as oppose to the simple original–and dialogue is all kept in the same paragraph, which is difficult to read. I recommend Ormsby.

What is it like as an audiobook? I've read the novel a couple of times already and it seems like something that may be neat to listen to while going for walks. Exemplary Stories is a good read too (although the stories vary in quality quite a lot) if you're looking for even more Cervantes, I read the Oxford edition and the translation was decent.
