Never do this. Never say your joke is not funny. I know you German aren't the funniest people on earth but there is no worst way possible to end a joke. People will only think you're awkward and the polarising effect of humour will work, but negatively for you. I like to do shitty jokes too, and sometimes no one will laugh, my advice is that if you suspect a joke is not funny, but makes you laugh: laugh. Laugh as loud as you can, with that greasy, fat, deep and loud laugh, laugh like you just farted. Even if people won't laugh, they won't despise you because of that joke.
