I need book recs like pic related. I'm trying to learn to exploit people; I'd like to be able understand all of people's vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

I don't care for morality and I want things that go in depth. I don't want recycled pop-psych garbage about persuasion and influence. Robert Greene is the only author I've seen that ever has anything compelling to say on the subject.

I was considering reading helter skelter or perhaps some other books about cults, since those are basically case studies in exploiting people.

Also, save the advice and advocacy - I'll just ignore you, or that part of your suggestion. I'm open to hearing about different strategies and inferences, though. Basically, just don't try to dissuade me or bring up some shit by Mark Manson or something. Thanks.

Are you smart enough to read between the lines? Not a lot of people know that, but GEB is the best work for what you're looking for. It's time consuming to work it all out, but it brings your understanding to a whole new level.

I have confidence in myself to be able to do so, yes. Thank you for actually offering something useful, unlike anyone else so far.

It might seem paradoxical, but I don't have bad intentions. I'm a humanitarian - I just need to be able to people as clearly as possible and manipulate them in order to achieve what I think is correct.

Doesn't mean what I'm doing isn't evil though. I'm sure Hitler had very similar logic.

Unironically a paradigm of mine. I'd love a resource on his inner workings if anyone has them. He's undeniably a master, so he's deftly woven his own narrative to the point where there's very little information about him that isn't tantamount to propaganda, though.

Is it superior in any way? I know it's contrary to most people's beliefs, but later works are, in my experience, refined in comparison.

>>17369941
Immerse yourself in your goals. Don't just read books about whatever it is you're trying to accomplish. In fact, it's not even about the information itself. It's about putting yourself in the frame of mind to make your experience more meaningful. I get it though. It's more comfortable to believe someone like me is a pathetic larper. Seeing the merit in my viewpoint isn't worth it if you're capable of believing otherwise. It's a bleak existence I live. So meme away friends, preserve your dissociated worldviews <3

Just read it. It's very short, it can be read in one sitting and it can be found for free online. Both Schopenhauer and Nietzsche loved it.

At least I'm polarizing. You'd realize that's a good thing, if you weren't such an npc.

Also yes, I'm compensating for a childhood where the only person who truly loved me felt sorry for me because she made horrible mistakes around the time of my birth and has spent the entire rest of her life trying to correct them. You'd be fucked up if your court-mandated therapist used you to have sex with your mom too, and that was the closest thing you've ever had to a father figure. Also no, my mom wasn't a junkie or a whore - she got manipulated by a psychopath into a relationship and she didn't recognize it. Aka it's her type.

Yes, I'm cringy, hopelessly arrogant, antisocial, narcissistic, probably evil and someone you should rightfully hate.

But I'll either grind myself into dust or be someone who pulls the strings of the one who pulls the strings of the one who pulls your strings someday. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be the former :3

You’ll be more successful and happier if you cooperate and give people what they want. Take it from me, I “sell” directly to my costumers. But at no point do I need to convince them, much less antagonize them. I build rapport, joke around, and help them get what they need. My clients thank me profusely for it. I am much more successful than manipulative and dishonest salesmen. I understand the appeal of what you’re after, but you will not get what you want

I won't, but you're not going to find what you're looking for. There is no secret skeleton key that's going to give you the control over your life that you're looking for. Your leading premise doesn't make sense. You're going to waste your money on these books that are designed to prey on people like you. At best, nothing will change. At worse, you're going to inflict a lot of anxiety and depression onto yourself. I know you have probably genuinely convinced yourself there is a book that will give you a script to manipulate people. You're going to look back on this one day and wonder how you ever believed any of it. Good luck.

This happens a lot; people get burned by a psychopath and then they do what you're doing right now. Trying this faggotry on people will only make you more of a mark to predatory types who will rightly see that you are a fucking idiot.

By the way what is up with Robert Greene's latest book (Human Nature)? There's a few good introspective chapters but then suddenly it goes full woke and gives advice that goes against what he advocated for in his earlier books. The layout and quality is a huge step down compared to his other books as well. Did he sell out?
