It is not enough to change the zeitgeist of one society; it is not even enough to change the zeitgeist of all societies. It is not enough to cleanse one society of its destructive political and economic system; it is not even enough to inflict the same on all societies. Perhaps it is not even enough to make impossible the return of the destroyed political and economic system.

Regardless: How do you make the return of that which has been destroyed impossible? Won't the primitive, egalitarian, segmented society (which would, in the best case scenario, emerge from the destruction) inevitably evolve/devolve again into a cephalic proto-state – setting in motion a new cycle of destruction?

yes. There is no utopia.

Much like the human body, society shall always be in a flux of extremes, but just enough to find a balance. A form of homeostasis. Corruption will never cease, but neither will those willing to call them out. Thankfully, corruption is also flawed, which is why 1984 isn’t a reality yet. People just aren’t that competent, and total constant control is damn near impossible. Doesn’t stop them from trying, though

Yes, everything comes to an end eventually. IT is by attempting to prolong the inevitable that evil springs forth, clinging to what it calls "life" as it sacrifices everything of value in it's pursuit of temporal gain.

Please don’t forget that what it takes for a fluctuating system to become stable (like a biological organism) is billions of years. Sure the biological foundation is done, so random mutation is not the deciding factor anymore, but we have only just hit the peak of the very first (and possibly last) flux. Our petty mortal minds are very obviously not up to the task of balancing this out
