I want the most twisted recs you could possibly give. Bonus points if they have literary merit as well.

I see a lot of Samuel Delany posted in threads like these. I still need to take the dive and read Hogg.

Not the most disturbing ever but certainly horrifying enough to warrant reading. De Sade is a good choice, maybe The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum.

There's always basically anything by Peter Sotos.

Hogg. The Painted Bird is also pure torture porn

de sade's works is an obvious go-to. American Psycho may be a meme but it makes the movie adaptation feel like a soft PG-13. that book has some of the most nauseating sequences of gore and torture i've ever read

Aside from the already recommended itt, you could try Guyotat, also Mirbeau's torture garden.

I remember reading a post on /lit/ about some South American guy who was incredibly depraved in both life and writing, and who ended his life atrociously burned with his mutilated body thrown into a trench or something. Unfortunately can't remember the name of the guy. But search warosu for the "trangressive literature" thread and you might encounter him.

I just finished les onze milles verges by Guillaume Apollinaire and it tried to cover all the paraphilic bases, it gets real funny towards the end.

His works are so goddamn twisted and have caused an aching revulsion in me. Most edgy erotic books get so caught up in being as out there and fantastic as possible (the one i mentioned and story of the eye are good examples) that they end up being too funny or too ridiculous to really be called depraved in my eyes. Sotos is so unrelentingly realistic to the point where reading his works sometimes makes me wanna find the guy and beat the shit out of him sometimes, but I suppose that speaks to his masterful ability to conjure up true depravity.
