hi anons, i’m 16 and would like to start reading better books (political and philosophical ones specifically). i’ve read some classics (kafka, dostoyevsky, nabokov and brontë to name a few), but i need some political book recommendations that aren’t too inaccessible and help one understand politics in depth for a beginner like me. if anybody has some good philosophy recs then i’d appreciate that as well. pic unrelated (love the movie though)

The republic by Plato is unironically a good place to start. Penguin classics version is great. IT has lots of annotations to give context and it’s an enjoyable read, since it’s series of dialogues
