Thank you for unlocking this memory for me. I have probably read every book in this series and it had completely left my memory until seeing this post. I can actually vaguely recall moments from these books and I never would have otherwise. I'm 23 now, not sure how old I would have been when I read them but my school library always had a stash of these bad boys and goosebumps

The first ten or so are great. I liked the Halloween one a lot as a kid. Spooky

in elementary school, we could get points for reading a book and then doing a short quiz on it. I forget what the points were used for, maybe book fairs. anyway, I read a lot of Hank the Cowdog to rack up points, good times. now im suicidal.

These were great, any of the one's where the owl showed up I really liked, I remember this one in particular though getting a lot of laughs. Also the one were Slim moves out and tries living in a shitty trailer for a while with Hank and Drover was convincingly sad.

Hank moved to England when he grew up. He got in a bit of a fix once, but it all worked out with a little help from his friend.

OP here, I’m 22 and I loved them a lot too. I think pic related was my actual favorite. I actually believed I would go cross-eyed forever if I looked between my eyes too long because of it. I read all the Goosebumps as well.

AR points? It stood for accelerated reading. I had a ton of them and won a pizza one year

God this series was so boring, I remember using it for my reading for school once, God I hated writing reading logs.

God, I still remember the one where he got fucked up by a bull and had to spend the night alone in a field waiting for his owner to come back for him
