Welcome to the Monkey House -or- Based Vonnegut promotes rape

>> No.17332345

>>17332312
As if that's unique. All male authors promote rape, because all males have a desire to rape. Men only pretend to dislike rape to dupe gullible "straight" women into sleeping with them: tricking them into sex they don't really want - rape.

Not even the best short story collection by Lem desu senpai

>> No.17333469

Lem is great at short stories but I think I love Akutagawa even more.
Lem is verbose and can get bogged down in his autistic technobabble, which is the point. Akutagawa simply has better style and structures stories better, even being the philosophical inferior.

Haven't read Star Diaries but the Cyberiad was great. However between Akutagawa and Cyberiad, Cyberiad has more complex themes which makes it less iconic than the brevity of Akutagawa.

Does Ovid's Metamorphoses count? I feel like it should. If we want to be technical and limit it to being an epic, then I'll go with pic related selections of Steinbeck.
