Which Pynchon novel should I start with?

>> No.17310052

No idea. I read Crying of Lot 49 and it was torture to get through it.

What didn't you like about it?

Not crying of lot 49 - its maybe his most overrated and was a pynchon potboiler. I'd say inherent vice. All his other books i've read besides lot 49 have been awesome and i've read Thom up to inherent vice

They're all the same, in essence. Read the plot summaries on Amazon and pick the one that seems the most interesting.

Your writing is shit, and you should feel bad that you're even trying to weasel your way into the same sentence as Pynchon, you fucking hack.
>>17310044
Just start with GR, idiot. I'm dumb as shit, and I still managed to read it and glean most of its meaning. What, are you dumber than me, you big stupid idiot?

I started with GR before I even knew who Pynchon was, I just liked the cover and the title desu, I still think its the best place to start.

Start with the Greeks and work your way through the Western Canon first.
