As if you didn't know. You know I hate it when you play stupid, I do not need your charity. I do not need you to make me feel smart and stroke my ego. Give me a fucking challenge for once and stop playing these games! Show me that you can actually think and comprehend.

Pain is weakness leaving the body. Guilt is weakness leaving the spirit.

This just leads to all kinds of delusional rationalizations and self-deception. This is why guilt destroys people. It fucks up the very core of your identity. A guilty conscience would rather bend the truth than face it.

Useless?

Because guilt is how systems of power operate, so guilt is endlessly repeated by just about anyone who wants to get you to do something for them.

No. It is a sign something is wrong. Guilt is the sign of a “moral injury” on the soul.

No. You know things are wrong because you wouldn’t want them to be done to you.

I just did. A noble lie is still a lie. Furthermore, guilt trippers never distinguish between guilt from following harmful behavior and not following preferable behavior, that way they can endless switch between the two and always keep the door open for behavior control and abuse

How is morality “control and abuse”?
Is it “oppressive” to say it’s wrong to cheat on your partner?
Is it “abusive” to say it’s wrong to talk shit behind your friend’s back?

>How is morality “control and abuse”?
Morality isn’t just saying ‘X is right and Y is wrong’, it’s also all the ways to establish and justify morality. In the case of guilt, what should be avoided is much easier to assess than what should be preferred. In the case of avoiding harmful behavior, the one commanded usually also benefits, in the case of promoting preferable behavior, it’s usually just the one who commands who benefits.

Furthermore, another vital concept is moral responsibility, and in responsibility it’s essential to discriminate between what you can have an effect on and what you can’t, and you’re never held responsible for stuff you have no ability to effect in a meaningful way
