Last year alone I read ~102.
But it doesn't matter. Dante probably read less than 100, or not many more, in the course of his life. Books were very costly back then.

If you're 18 that's a lot by contemporary standards, if you're 40 that not so much. Read a book a month starting at your 18th birthday, when you reach 30 you'll have read almost 150 books. And a book a month is really not hard.

that's fair. I mentioned then individually because I dont know if what I've read is everything hesiod ever wrote. I didn't want to say "hesiod's works" in case I was missing something
>How are you enjoying your journey
I unironically love reading, I wish I started sooner. I've been shitposting here on /lit/ (and 4chan in general) since 2014 but it was only until 2019 that I thought: "you know what, I'm gonna actually start reading" and I love it.

You've read great book so far anon. Maybe try learning a new language too if you want. Latin can be nice and if you keep at it you'll be able to read Aeneid in its original language. Also you may enjoy philosophy, so try Plato sometime seeing that you got some of the Greek prereq out of the way.

100 books is like two years of reading. Only if you only started reading after /lit/ and only started browsing /lit/ in 2017 does that makes any sense.
