Haven't read it. Got to put that on my Kindle. But what drew my attention is that it is different, anon. How many novels out there about fucking whale hunting? Definitely novelty when compared to Victorian scenery and people arguing about relationships and whatever.

That's a bit of an odd question to ask about a book, but yes it has some of the best prose in English lit. It also helps that the story and characters are great and iconic
