Linguist here.
In spelling, it would be one thing.
In actual linguistic terms, you disregard spelling and pay attention to phonetic and phonological properties.
I'm not gonna transcribe this into real IPA, but here goes:
/ko.'mI.ti/ - and actually the t of the last syllable would be ambisyllabic since the previous sylable is stressed and the the next one unstressed.
/ka.me.di/ - and the m of the second vowel would be ambisyllabic for the same reasons as above.
