Schopenhauer wrote some essays on writing on his "Parerga und paralipomena." There is a collection of selected essays related to writing, but I think it is a Portuguese only thing. You can probably skim through it and read the writing related ones, there is a lot of decent advice. He is a bit ranty too, so be parsimonious when listening to him.
