I am confused /lit/. I have finished the Odyssey. What should I read next, The Aeneid or Herodotus? If I read Herodotus, I will continue with Thucydides and Plato. This means, I will read The Aeneid, when I continue with the Romans.

It is also the path that I have taken and do not regret it. Except that I read the whole corpus (including the fragments) of the Three Great Tragedians inbetween the Odyssey and Herodotus. I would recommand you to do the same.

Of course, disregard >>17199547 if you haven't read the Illiad yet and go read it right now, you should have started with it.
