Don't know for all anarchist but this political space is indeed ripe with quackery from my limited experience with them. A lot of people seem attracted to anarchist type ideology out of pure childlike naivety.

I've seen huge influence of new age type beliefs, naturopaths, "natural" farming completely idealized, some thinking they're going to be more productive than industrialized farming out of 1 obviously biased study of a well funded farm using voluntary labour and giving 5 days courses payed thousands of dollar and producing mostly vegetables and not grains. Complete delusion, but well the people making a living out of their naiveties are not going to stop. Now there are some rational ones who know very well that theyre not going to beat industrialized farming with hand labor and just have fun getting a part of their food thenselves. People that are actually self sufficient are so rare I've never seen any in a developped country.

I haven’t read this book but alternative medicine isn’t worse than medicine. Are you fucking blind? Doctors are completely retarded and fixing people’s problems, and in many cases they make things worse. Look at chiropractors, back surgeries, psychiatry, pain pills, etc, etc. Use your head.
