17152439 No.17152439 [Reply] [Original]

Editor here, wanted to generate a thread in an effort to consolidate the gestalt insofar.
Wanted to get an idea of how many anons have yet to submit material for the next issue so that I might better organize and optimize the magazine’s real estate.
Also if I get enough attention I might field /lit/ for an opinion regarding the next cover page.

>> No.17152446

Also wanted to summon Mishima translator anon and get some details regarding his upcoming website.
Also looking for anons who love to read; I would like to get someone to help me categorize submissions by subjective quality and maybe help copy edit.

>> No.17152468

So far I am lacking material for the topics of:
/fitlit/:
>exercise, sports, sig, etc
Worldbuilder:
>survival, rural, farming, outdoors
Bookwormhole:
>book reviews, /sffg/, opinions, recs

If possible, I’d like for any anons who are currently drafting material for the next issue to speak up so I can get an idea of how much space I might need.

Bookwormhole. Awesome.
There has been zero commentary thus far on fiction, some philosophy essays but nothing referential of authors in the realm of fiction. I’m excited to read that.
Even if it’s trash send it in (unless you’d rather continue to work on it for the next next issue). The amount of awful submissions far outweighs the good ones so I definitely suggest taking the time to make it good.

>> No.17152553

I wonder who else could be interviewed, this may also bring more traction to the magazine as well, as it could be used as future reference. There’s probably many Internet legends relevant and forgotten who could be interviewed. On the other end, I also think Scaruffi might answer emails, though I’m not sure, same for Jan Kuban.

It's interesting that it has already gotten to that point. Because of the aesthetic, I highly doubt that this could become as pretentious as Lit Quarterly (I don't even know if they source from this board anymore) but that would be something to keep an eye out for

good point. it looks like LQ draws sources from a clique of writers that formed around LQ for that purpose. I don’t know for sure I just read the names. &amp eschews attribution so I don’t think it will get as bad here, though there are anons who have submitted over a dozen works and have yet to be published.

another anon in another thread once said that he would regret if this project became ‘so reddit’ as to accept anything lest we disappoint or upset community members who might not be good but still deserve a voice.
the idea is to keep the caliber of content as high as possible without leaning too hard on reliable writers which will take balancing diamonds with rough.
