I hide behind the science fiction genre because I hate describing real-life shit, real-life people, and real-life situations. Generally, I detest them.
I stay home all day, how can I not become someone who just reads and writes genre stuff?
Should I aspire to get away from genre fiction? If so what do I write? What do I read? Is there even a reason to remove myself from genre fiction?
