The image on OP's book is the one they use for Raskolnikov in the B&N edition of Crime and Punishment. Who was in the wrong here? Penguin or B&N?

I actually found a very good podcast on Dostojevsky and his relationship to the Catholic Church, it’s far more subtle than I suspected it to be. Here you go, it made me learn a lot about my own relationship with God:

Which translation should be read? I own the bantam one

Serbian one is awesome

But in all seriousness, Bantam one definitely does not translate as well as Serbian one does; for example I liked the old English translation of Turgenev (some lady, too lazy to look her up) far better than the Serbian one I've read. Bantam does not capture the hysteria and the outbursts of the novel as well as I believe it should (though I have not read it in Russian obviously). There's one particular scene towards the end where "we love you" is translated as "we like you" which feels really stupid and completely ruins the emotional impact. So my advice is anything but Bantam,
