What are some reading materials that expand upon the core message of Soul?

If you've not seen it, it essentially teaches that life is for living. Chasing a "purpose" in life isn't what life is about, and is unrelated to what gives life a "spark". I'd like to read more into this overall philosophy but not sure where to start, so would appreciate any recommendations.

I'm currently reading Anna karenina and i think is giving me these vibes. One of the protagonists say that pleasure is not on finding the truth, but in searching for it. If war and peace was all about infinitesimals my bet is that Anna karenina is all about the vector field. You must be aware of your surroundings and use them in your advantage kinda way(being happy).
