Help me /lit/, I want to redirect how I approach reading. I've been reading novels as a way to pass time, pretending it puts me above someone that mindlessly watches TV only to realize I'm not learning anything useful.
What books should I read?
What books taught you something important?

books that taught me how to detect and figure out when i am being lied to or mislead i find have real value. books about propaganda always have value and are applicable in real life. i recommend How to Lie with Statistics. it is only around 100 pages and will make you more critical and questioning when you hear a statistic. Propaganda by Edward Bernays is good and from there you can just read books similar to his that cover generally similar stuff.
