he's just a tall guy in black armor

Tolkien has a really badass description of Morgoth in the Silmarillion somewhere... what with being like a mountain all icy around the base and fiery at its peak

I mean its just so inconvenient. There's no way Aragorn could have lost.

In the book they were used only to terrify and disperse Umbar pirates... and it specifically said that their only weapon was terror, as their ghost weapons "had no bite."
