Was Nietzsche a closeted Christian?

Doesn't it follow from Nietzsche's concern with "evil" that Nietzsche is complicit with the anti-life axioms of Christianity he simultaneously despises? He remains in search for a "redemption" of some kind.

No, Nietzsche could've been saved if he joined Islam.

Read Seraphim Rose’s essay on Nietzsche. I’m not an Orthodox Christian but I think it’s a good essay about Nietzsche’s relationship with the Christian God.

Nietzsche was the anti-Christ. He longed to be adored as the only savior of the human race and had to do away with the competition first before bestowing his own gospel on the world.

he has a lot of ideas that are undeniably religious, like suffering being good and spiritually instructive. I guess whenever you respond to religion in the way he did you become a sort of reformer rather than total secularist.
