I related to a lot of things there.
The physical weakness, the obsession with death and strength, forcing myself to love a girl, developing a masturbation vice, the overbearing relative (for Mishima was his grandmother, for me it was my mom), mastubating over St. Sebastian, studying law, etc...

Japan is a likely future for western society (minus the racial homogeny). Total wageslave ethic, morality as an external set of etiquettes rather than any sort of profound and personal understanding, hedonism and oversexualisation as a form of directed desire (the function is basically to placate wagies), childlessness resulting from a similar selfishness and lack of beleif in the future or any reality beyond the self, spirituality reduced to schmaltzy and juvenile sentimentality in popular media and personal life, rise of second hand experience and having no direct contact with emotions except through mimesis, philosophical dryness (endlessly repeating the enlightenment ritual of scapegoating religion and ignoring the soulless dehumanisation of everyone under secularism), abundance of plastic crap for children which adults centre their lives around and exchange their wagebux for, disintegration of sacred categories (it is completely ok to reduce children to sexual objects, to place no value on their carefree innocence and simply morph its joy into another self serving desire to see desecration and mutilation out of spite for the free), utter loss of the individual in the herd (increasing focus on vein and empty descriptors and value scales because the subjective is not valued, i.e. your grades and then wage define you), general death of poetry, great literature and art that rises beyond mere aesthetic pleasantness, people serving systems created to serve them backed by empty appeals to values nobody truly feels, sublimation of personality into external objects, brands and "ideas", end of individuality, end of spirituality, end of art, end of life.

I can tell you’ve never even been to Japan because most of this is the typical deluded Westerner take. Think you get it, but you don’t.

Japan has a shitton of problems most of which the post you are replying to hits right on the head. If anything that post doesn’t go far enough in some regards

>morality as an external set of etiquettes rather than any sort of profound and personal understanding
>having no direct contact with emotions except through mimesis
I always wonder how people can arrive at statements like these without knowing someone else's interior mind. Is this an assertion borne out of conversations with Japanese people, or is it one that was made after observation? And if it's by observation, how do you know that they lack personal understanding and feel emotion only via mimesis?
