For me it’s 2-3 hours + a movie/documentary.

Wasn’t Lynch going to give him a role in one of his movies before he committed suicide? Charles Crumb is so tragic. His sadness seeps out of him, even in this pic

he reads a lot of philosophy though

You fucking retards need to relax with the “how much do you read a day” nonsense. You’re not going to get anything worthwhile from Aristotle unless you read him carefully and take notes, being sure to integrate his philosophy into your mental heuristics. Likewise, reading too deeply into fiction and acting like it at all is indicative of reality, or acting like it accurately reflects a mode of your perception, is retarded. If you want the latter, learn to write well and really contemplate. If you want to read a huge number of books quickly, read YA bullshit and puss right the fuck off. However, if you want to put the works of genius to work, you need to wrestle with them until you’re winning 1/50 times instead of 1/100. That means put some hard work in and stop fetishizing time/volume read.

Correct but you think too highly of yourself for writing notes.

> Likewise, reading too deeply into fiction and acting like it at all is indicative of reality, or acting like it accurately reflects a mode of your perception, is retarded.
Cringe. You haven't read enough fiction. Fiction has taught me proper conduct far better than Aurelius, Aristotle, and Epictetus.

>However, if you want to put the works of genius to work, you need to wrestle with them until you’re winning 1/50 times instead of 1/100. That means put some hard work in and stop fetishizing time/volume read.
Absolutely cringe. How do you understand only 1/50th of what you read? How can you be against reading more works and for longer periods of time?

Great start but utterly cringe the rest of the way through.

You’re going to sit there and tell me that you can read and understand any book you read to a sufficient level of depth to work with similar themes and ideas in your own mind? You’re pissing.

I did a from 9:30 Saturday to 9:30 Monday and enjoyed the reading binge. Might do more of that + with commute and with random moments.

Reading is best done when dedicated an entire day for. Can't wank to hardcore porn and grab a page of the old transcendence.
