Literature as you understood it is a meaningless construct that has no relation to the history of art, and as such it cannot die ad it was never alive.

SCHIZOPATHS WANT TO KILL EVERYTHING —EXEMPLI GRATIA: «GOD IS DEAD», «LITERATURE IS DEAD», «THE DEATH OF THE AUTHOR», ET CETERA—; THIS IS INDICATIVE OF THEIR PSYKHIC MORBIDITY —THEY ARE ALREADY DEAD, AND AS WALKING DEAD THEY SPREAD THEIR PESTILENCE.

Art was always a cope and one of humanity's biggest lies. There was never anything special about art. If there was some objective or transcendent quality to art, it would have never died in the first place.

literature is dead, long live literature.

publishers have always cashed in on trends. they're businesses first and foremost and they would go bankrupt if they conformed to strict aesthetic perimeters and "intelligent" content. and funny enough, that would just be another form of puritanism. that's why a lot of academic writing is flat-out alienating and lifeless.

i mean no, this is long term. i just mean that, even if it's dead atm, that doesn't mean that eventually it will reemerge.

even the best twitter accounts lack any self-awareness, which was more or less the precondition for western literature
