I see
In that case pour white wine on the stains, it will neutralize like vinegar and baking soda

Yeah do this, it seems counter-intuitive but it works better than anything else. You need a lot of white wine though, like 4-5 times more than the amount of red wine you spilled on the book

There's no hope for it anon. Your best option is to leave and seek sanctuary in your local church, and then rededicate your life to living in accordance with divine law and in accordance with the teachings of the church.

trying very hard to imagine a situation where you'd have to replace a book and couldn't just easily purchase a replacement. if it's a rare/antique book situation you're just fucked

I ruined a book by drinking and reading once :(
Blacked out and when I woke up the book was all munted, like the spine was broken and it was all bent, I think I accidentally rolled over it oops. Was sad because it was a nice old copy of keat's poetry, I still havent gotten over it (actually it was just the other night lol.) but anyway drinking and reading is mostly ok, I think wine amplifies the emotions so its nice for reading poetry but maybe not for philosphy
