why did guenon denigrate the greeks so much when philosophy (the real thing not retarded foucault AIDS fisting) was a branch of the greco-roman world's mystery tradition? platonism/neoplatonism, pythagoreanism, etc. plato was initiated into the mysteries of eleusis (so was socrates), pythagoreanism, and his works are divinely inspired and innately mystical

id understand when he denigrates 'philosophy' if he meant post-roman stuff, but it makes no sense to piss on the greeks unless youre talking about epicurus (who wasnt a philosopher)
