Quick rundown from an illiterate.
1. You have a problem or something is bothering you.

2. Is this something within your control?

3. If so work to change it. When working to change it, do not focus on the result as, going back to point 2, it is not in your control. Only the attempt is so take your best shot and be content from there.

4. If this something is not within your control then you can not affect it. Why worry about something that you can not affect? From here you have two options. Option one: You can lament and weep over your fate and futility. Option two: You accept that this something can not be controlled, let it be and move on to that which you can control. The state of that something will remain the same whether you pick option one or two but the state of your mind will not be the same. Which option do you think would lead to a better state of mind?

Go on to YouTube and watch a "stoicism" self help video, you will find a watered down, butchered, summarization of stoicism. Recite the video to your friends and then they will think they understand one of the easiest to understand philosophies.

Overwhelmed by the impossibility of an actual sensual encounter with this woman whose virtual appearance is but my only solace, I'm left with no choice but to ask the one who has graced me with her image: oh dear anon, I am here with my heart shattered by her smile, taken by the fever of my own erotic desires evoked by this glimpse of her soft skin and what is left for me to imagine. I ask you, please, aid me with a clue of her identity so that I can dream a way to bring this distant encounter closer to actuality, or if only to further the illusion, which is alone deserving of all my energies even to my own personal destruction. I ask you, dear anon, to show me the route so that this does not end here, for I'm but a fool mesmerized by this vision, as if haunted by a succubus whose name I do not know.

if your thread does poorly it's almost always because you failed to properly prime the topic for discussion. usually you want to evoke some sense of duty on the part of the posters to straighten something out. the topic should be worthy of arguing about, essentially. this place is kind of like a way for people to play-fight each other with ideas. imagine a game of mortal combat or something, but ideas are being possessed instead of characters. now observe your original post. what the fuck did you expect? it's boring. of course people are going to respond more to >>17006163; at least that's interesting to some degree

>if you can punish the rapist then any stoic would tell you to do so
Not according to their writings.
Why would the stoic want to punish the rapist? It's not necessarily certain that the rapist will rape again, any punishment seems to be out of anger which stoicism forbids since it is a destructive emotion.
Even if the stoic uses the state to punish the rapist the stoic must do so perhaps only out of a sense of duty towards society and not out of anger nor a desire to avenge his wife, so the stoic is kinda of a cuck either way.

The part where we don't have a time machine to travel in the past to stop rape.
