Is there any book that explains those first few seconds after you wake up where you can sort of see yourself and your life from an outsider's perspective and realize how much of a loser you are, until your brain notices that and re-activates those comfortable delusions you have about why you are the way you are and how you're going to change etc etc etc and so on

I don't have these moments because I'm not a loser. I wake up smiling.

Listen to positive affirmations that assert you have value and life is great and worth living. That's what gigachad does when he wakes up at 3:45 AM and pops his dexedrine spanules.

I wake up horny and realize I can't shove my dick in my non-existent partner. Which then makes me remember that I am alone and have been for awhile. Which then angers me because these emotions are nonexistent when I'm going about my day and only upon waking am I caught off guard by my buried longing for a physical connection. Screw you for reminding me that I am alone.

I have a version of this, i have stronger memories and stronger self-awareness after just waking up. Sometimes it feels like I'm more "chill," like I'll remember something I did the previous day and go "wow, that was pretty gay, I need to relax."

I've tried cultivating it in different ways but not had much luck. One interesting thing I've found is I can hold onto it for a bit if I try vividly living out a memory of some childhood place. Sometimes I take walking tours of houses I grew up in, right after waking up, and it has almost the same vividness of a dream.

Must have been my fucked up sleep schedule acting up, but I used to have those a lot during my highschool years; my mind and my body being disconnected from each other
Always wondered what that was about

Anyone else here wake up in the middle of the night and just start having intense panic attacks over virtually nothing? This combined with extremely repetitive dreams has me stressed.

Are you abusing amphetamines or drinking too much coffee? Try low-level transcendental meditation like acem, with mild breath control exercises, to defuse panic attacks and bring you back to a resting state.

I admittedly do drink a lot of coffee all day at my job. Breathing exercises do get me through it but I feel fatigued the next day as having my sleep interrupted by a heart rate of 120 for about 20 minutes is draining.

I dunno, I am not a doctor or anything but if I drink 3 cups of coffee in one day it somehow stays in my system and I have bizarre manic half-sleeping dreams and borderline amphetamine psychosis type things. Throwing it out there as a possibility.

That sounds scary though, maybe it's even physiological. You should get it checked out if you can.

When I was going through alcohol withdrawals I would wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat and with no idea of who or where I was. I literally had no ego for like 2 minutes before snapping back to reality. It was kinda cool in retrospect.

I've been waking up at night for the past 4 years. Once at the very least, usually 3-4 times. Takes me anywhere from 20min to 1 hour to fall back asleep, in which time I go through hell.
This happened a few weeks after a traumatic event and I don't know hot to stop it.

have you tried taking some medication to sleep, even just a natural type like melatonin? or if you don't want to do that you can try to exercise a lot and consume any stimulations

>> No.16999895

>>16999874
Thx for your interest, melatonin only works for 2/3 weeks. I'm only taking magnesium an hour before sleep.
>and consume any stimulations
What do you mean?
Also I want to add tha psychotherapy is fake and gay and has wasted me about 6000 euros so far.

My bad lol, meant not consume any stimulants, caffeine and such, I have no idea how it came out as that. And yeah melatonin doesn't work for long. There are drugs that will knock you out, seroquel for example, but they can make you pretty sedated during the day afterward, and well the effects of that stuff are not that well known. But maybe taking some just for a while to get a sleep pattern back, idk.
