Almost Transparent Blue by R. Murakami feels like it as well, just constant switching of scenes, bizarre behaviour etc.

this novel is pretty unique, i like how queer it is too desu. its queerness is authentic and brave. also i'd say crime and punishment has a fever dream quality too

Ryu really slaps. Miso-soup i also enjoyed, as well as 69 and all shades of blue, he's very readable and even entertaining in a good sense

it's such a fun read, i laughed out loud a lot. the plot has great momentum and intensity too, you really feel kenji's anxiety going into it. and the ending is hilarious. also i just love that seedy, violent underworld shit. i feel bad for some of frank's victims though
