Why does it seem that people on /lit/ have read more Deleuze, Baudrillard, Land, etc. than Žižek, and yet Žižek is a more established meme and he's more based?

Zizek makes more youtubable appearances

Zizek is a great mind and a hack writer. Hope he gets an editor or five or a collaborator and gets a Thousand Plateaus type WORK before choking to death.

I've listened to maybe an hour or two of zizek and the one idea I extracted from him in that time was that 'masks' are more real than 'the underlying.' I don't even agree, but it's interesting enough. Is his writing more dense with ideas? Much of his talk is rambling, kind of babble.

No one on /lit/ has read any of them

This is a weird kind of projection, idk why people come on lit and just own themselves with these admissions.
