If I gave this poem to a girl in a letter, would this seem awkward or creepy? It’s very short and nothing special. This girl has told me in the past she was interested in me, but wants to focus on uni and family stuff so just wants to be friends but gave the whole “maybe in the future I can see it” thing.

Honey is found on branches high-
And while the flowers beside our feet
Are no doubt notable and precious,
That suspended crown, besides itself,
Is in its long journey thereto
Found perhaps the sweetest taste of all.

Sorry bro that means she isn't interested, she just didn't want to hurt your feelings.

1. THAT POEM IS MEDIOCRE, HOKEY, AND SLIGHTLY KITSCHY.

2. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN ITSELF REGARDING GIFTING, OR DEDICATING, SOMEONE A POEM; UNLESS THAT THE POEM IS OFFENSIVE IF THE RECIPIENT BECOMES REPULSED BY YOUR GIFTING THEM A POEM YOU CAN BE CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE SAVED YOURSELF TIME OF YOUR LIFE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN WASTED ON THAT PERSON; IN THIS SENSE POETRY CAN BE A GOOD LEAD FOR SOUNDING THE PERSONAL QUALITY OF AN ACQUAINTANCE —IF SOMEONE DISLIKES POETRY THAT SOMEONE IS HUMAN TRASH.
