I've read the first 4 or 5 suras so far

it seems like the same thing as the Old Testament to me, except maybe a bit more streamlined and less varied in content.

From what I remember the OT had more variety of crazy stuff even if overall it was "God is awesome and non-believers will be destroyed", whereas so far the Quran seems more focused, but with the same message
