People say Ulysses is really good but will I, a brainlet with ADHD, be able to enjoy it as well? Or is it only for 150+ IQ readers?

Maybe try Dubliners or Portrait first.

Not the frog poster. I've read Dubliners and Portrait and it was pretty much casual reading. Ulysses on the other hand tenderizes my brain after a few pages. I could probably hack through it eventually but I can't help but wonder whether all that mental energy could better be spent on something else.

>ADHD

I'm no expert, but I've been diagnosed with ADHD multiple times, and I think its got to do with motivation than anything else, ie, its attention deficiency caused by an extreme lack of motivation, at least that's what it seems to me from my lived experience

If you really get into the novel I believe you'll have no trouble with ADHD

I'm also a brainlet and enjoyed it, but I had to do some previous research and had to confirm some things online as I read

>a brainlet with ADHD
Stop with this fucking excuses. There is no such thing as brainlets and adhd is just an American meme. Everyone can enjoy every novels. Some novels just require more attention and possibly study, and lazy fucks like you don't want to put the effort. There is no obligation to do it, but don't come up with excuses

I came up with a lot of responses to this but you know... you're right. I really should.
