Whether as a student or author, have any of you ever struggled to identify your niche, your main area of interest, or basic focus. Personally, I have ambitions of authorship and starting a publisher but I struggle so much with refining my area of focus.

Daily reminder that Nietzsche was actually a simp for Lou-Salomé and got cucked by Rilke.
That being out of the way, don't worry too much about it OP. Take small notes of your thought, read what pleases you the most and it will come naturally.

Even this is hard when you have so many divergent and confused interests

There is probably only a few underlying basic subjects under these interests, it's up to you to find them. Don't limit yourself.

I'm pretty sure that quote is taken from what some protester at the Trump inauguration, an actual young girl, said. Augie or something. /pol/ had a bit of an obsession with her for a few months.

He took the redpill, went MGTOW and caught syphilis from all the whores he was banging.
Truly a role model for the children.

No; contrarily: I have always known myself via my spiritual trajectory; everything mundane that has ever been contrary to my intention, and volition, has always merely interrupted, and interfered with, my selfdirection.

That’s definitely true. Now that I think about it, part of this is because I have a tendency to feel like I need to depart from those underlying subjects either because it’s already been done before or because I don’t like the way they’ve been received.

Everything has been done before, what matters is the way you do it. People have been jerking off to the thought of death since they noticed they could die, it doesn't make the subject less interesting.
