That depends. What part of Evola's work are you most interested in? His work on spiritual traditions? Esotericism? Political analysis? The Traditionalist worldview? I think his essays are really comfy, but they don't really get to the heart of the matter so a lot of other trads disagree with me when I recommend The Bow and the Club or Recognitions as good intros.

But what if he read all the books, articles and essays and studied all the research surrounding him. What if that anon is literally Christian Kopff himself who wants to help OP save some time.

Anyways i am wasting my time too with memes. I have just read one of the Arktos books its called A Traditionalist confronts Fascism. I bought this collection of essays because it starts with Orientamenti. This essay really often gets mentioned as the first point of contact one should make with Evola. The other essays are interesting too you get to know about what italian/balkan/southern european fascism is and his thought on the 3rd Reich. Very interesting. I also really like the quality of the print. I got myself a second Arktos volume one which is a big thicker its called Recognitions.

>>16921502
I'd recommend the Recognitions if you're starting out. It was the last book Evola wrote and he meant it to serve as an introduction to his work. The book contains 40 essays which span his entire thought ranging from politics to esoterism.

Kopff reads and appreciates Evola though.

I can second this. Path of Cinnabar is also good and so is Revolt as at least sort of back drops. Honestly though Evola was a complex and complicated writer but he wasn’t a systemizer (after his idealist phase anyway). You can start anywhere and put him together piece by piece. I’ve yet to see anyone but 1 person on /lit/ really do him justice.

Cinnibar, Revolt, Eros. Those 3 are the least 'meme' books of his and basically the only I would recommend. Start with cinnibar. The end has interviews with him where he briefly says himself not to take his work too seriously like the spergs that constantly misrepresent his actually valuable ideas which are pretty spread out. He makes this point again in like 1 sentence at the end of Eros. Remember to have fun :^)
