I have hundreds of random ideas I keep in a notes app. Here are two.

Sci fi in the far future, a lonely kid stumbles upon his great-great-great-great (use as many as youd like) grand parents social media accounts and becomes enthralled by it. You decide, do they become addicted, do they fall in love? Do they take all the videos and generate and AI of them to talk to?

#2. When people are dead and buried a tree grows out of their grave. The shape/health/beauty of the tree is based on the life of the person. Good/bad karma basically. One day the Mr. Rogers esque super amazing hero dies and hes buried in the beautiful legendary garden, but when his tree grows in gnarled and ugly people start to dig into his past.

Start writing about something that is meaningful, intriguing, terrifying or that just grabs your attention for whatever reason. It doesn't need to be something big, either, you could just start writing about a small thought you had or some small event that happened today and see what comes out of it.
