I got into Western philosophy because I was tired of being a friendless, miserable fuck and wanted to at least understand my condition. I am thoroughly confused because I don't what I'm supposed to be reading. I heard about Schopenhauer and purchased a bunch books starting from the Pre-Socratics and was planning on building my way up to The World as Will and Representation. I recently found Zizek and fell into the Lacan, Hegel, Heidegger, etc. rabbit hole and I find them equally, if not more fascinating than Schop. What the fuck do I do?

Did you start with the Greeks OP? All of those thinkers are going to be dealing with concepts that date back to Plato and Aristotle

Which books have you actually read and studied? Also

Just start woth Greeks anon. Don't fall for the Guenon meme, its bit bad philosophy but nothing to blow your load to, espescially if you've already been exposed to better philosophers
