Does /lit/ have a favorite short story?

For me, it's The Death by Joyce

I used to read stories to my highschool gf. Sometimes over FaceTime. I suspect it was some kind of daddy issues-related thing. Usually Grimm's fairytales but I also started reading Sagas of the Icelanders. Broke up with her midway through because she was a WHORE >:(((
I look forward to some day reading stories to my children, if that day ever comes.
