No fiction can properly be gnostic. Narrative always requires a coming together of heaven and earth, of the qualitative and the substantial pole of existence. As gnosticism rejects and seeks to flee the latter, even as it rejects the flesh, which is solely capable of enacting a narrative, true gnosticism must always take the form of deincarnated "wisdom".
That is the reason why texts like the Gospel of Thomas are just a collections of sayings. Anything else would be a major compromise on behalf of gnosticism.
