Recent book purchases/gifts/general acquiring thread!

Got these three recently - an overview of Matsuo Basho's life, poetry, and influence on the top, a cheap Dover collection of haiku in the middle, and I got the biography of Toson Shimazaki on the bottom as a gift.

Still love that one.

But there's a ton of awesome ones in this book. It includes the kana and multiple translations for some of the poems too. Great buy for $3.

I bought The Joke by Milan Kundera and I Served the King of England by Hrabal. Left them both in a friend's car, though, so won't be starting them for a while.
