When you eat shrooms and read way too much postmodern theory. Is this that non-philosophy I keep hearing about

LSD-influenced schizo-postmodern philosophy and literary analysis posting is one of the few reasons to browse this board. Check out this post that left an instant imprint in my memory:

>Milton is indicative of the schizo-rhizomatic tendency which modernity ultimately culminates in. Dante operated within far more spheres of immunization, to borrow from Sloterdijk, and found reality something more easily ordered. The medieval mind had a place not only in the cosmos, but in the supranatural world as well. It knew its position and status, in this life and the next. But already in Milton we see the collapse of those spheres and the admittance of more mercurial forces, an ontologically primary indecisiveness which lends neither direction nor distinction. Milton's Hell declares the inevitable: obviation of all formal structures. Dante's inferno reflects a divine, formal order--Milton's already tends towards a subjective flux.
>Milton confined such upheaval to gehenna, but the mere encounter with such a reality even in the abstract was enough for its contagion to take hold, and obviously it would not be contained by the decaying edifice that antiquated religious narratives had attempted to quarantine it in. Dante's hell was something that had to be descended into, but Milton's is something that one is cast into. The "thrown-ness" of Heidegger finds its precursory articulation, and Milton foretells the terrain which mortal man must inevitably navigate. Hell is found hiding beneath the atoms, and with that the whole idea of solidity collapses. There are no "little bits" at the bottom of matter that we are all standing on. And as above, so below. As with the physical, so with the psychological as well. Instead of tangibility and security, instead of Dante's comedy, we discover Milton's inferno. Desolate. Deterritorialized. A miasma of irrational torment and disorder haunted by demons of every nation that only he who was previously the highest and most illumined Angel of Light can be master of.
>If one is to exist in modernity, one must be a Satan. Milton knew this.

I also take shrooms here are Random collection of ideas.

The world that we interpret through the senses is not the whole of reality. Our senses limit the experience, the mind is the experiencer and creator of the world it also experiences. Despite being in a 3d world 3d objects are not perceived as they actually are. Instead as 2½d. Light creates shadow, shadow creates depth, humans have depth perception allowing us to see 2½d and not 2d. This can be easily seen by looking at an object like a dice. A cube. However acknowledging the object as 3d it is clear that it isn't being seen as such. Time is experienced as the rotation of the earth and its rotation around the sun (as well as other factors) time as linear can only be experienced in the physical. There are subjective differences in time. Two people having the same experience. One seeing it as going by fast, the other seeing it as going by slow. Both having the same objective experience of time (earth rotating). Colours are projected from the mind onto reality. Colours do not exist outside of the individual (noumena). Visible light spectrum coming from the sun exists between dark and light intersecting and not on either side (see "goethe theory on colour" to understand)...This proves in order for a spectrum of colour to exist there must be both dark and light (space + sun = colour to perceiver) the sky is not blue it is seen as blue by the perceiver. This is why the blue sky goes away during night, it was never really there. Light is not a physical thing. Light is photons. They are not matter but behave like matter. Not everything is a physicalism is wrong. The fact that colours cannot be described by language should be a clear indicator that language has flaws when describing the human experience. Emotions as another example, there are many variations of sadness (sorrow, melancholy, gloom) these terms are rarely used. Instead are grouped together as being sadness, rather the context of what causes it is how we come to understand which kind of sadness is experienced. In the same way love and hate have different variations and cannot be put into words that properly describe them. Language has flaws. I believe the idea of Psychedelic worlds correspond with whiteheads process of metaphysics. Actual entities have potential to access the realm of eternal objects. Eternal objects exist as potential for the future. Objects that exist as idea/in the realm of idea or thought. The idea of a chair. Cannot be destroyed and its potential as an idea always existed. The object itself as you imagine does not exist till you bring it into the physical through the realm of eternal objects that give potential for the future. It is infinite. The psychedelic world exists here. Only conscious beings have access to the eternal objects.

colour exists within the visible light spectrum. Psychedelics influence the colours you see. It changes the way you interpret light it isn't a hallucination. Closed eye hallucination within psychedelic experience is possible because mind can create light. When you imagine an object in your mind what is that object consisting of? Light. When you fall asleep in a dark room with no light. But dream of a world that has Light, where did the light come from? Your mind.this shouldnt be surprising, the mind can create an electromagnetic feild as well as other things. The mind is also capable of creating hyperbolic geometry aka the types of shapes and patterns you see when on DMT. Why does the mind have the capability to hallucinante hyperbolic geometry?

So I had my first bad trip. Essentially some 8 hour weird shit was playing on youtube cause my buddies liked it, but it was hypnotic, and soon I became filled with terrible dread, the music was droning and the tv was starting to spiral outward in fractals. I knew I was being brainwashed, but calmly I stood up and turned the box off. The feeling stuck with me, and before long I realized what I already knew, but it set in with an extremely heavy force. We all really are being brainwashed by our own accord. Its essentially inescapable short of fleeing society, and I have a child in this world, constantly under the influence of the same.

I processed this sort of panicking for a while, and eventually I calmed down a bit, i had alot more in depth and mind-blowing revelations about the hopelessness of it, but then something changed. I felt myself being drawn to this terrible otherness. This extremely dark and foreign place in my brain, I full on forced myself out of that mindset and waited till I came down. Now everytime I trip, I can feel it coming back. I havent taken as high of a dose sense then but I feel it looming and it creeps me out. It feels like if I let it consume me that I won't ever come back and that scares me.

Any psychadelic bros got any insight? My family has anxiety, I never really have, some think my uncle was schizo-affective though, and he killed himself on a gallon of shroom tea mixed with a half gallon of whiskey(bad alcoholic too). What do anons? Should I give up the shroomies. Trip was ab 5g golden teachers.

So, I've thought many simlar things. Then surprised myself to see Plato discussing the same lol. Your thoughts will only grow more complex with further readings. I tripped so hard last time that I could only contextualize colors and feelings like an atmosphere of emotions.

To shorten this. When I take psychs these days I feel a very dark and foreboding energy in my consciousness trying to slip forward. I feel like if I dive in, I won't come back. Should I confront it? Or stop tripping. No mental illness that I'm aware of, though a great-unclr may have been slightly schizo.

Have you anons ever experienced such or heard of such?

most of this is just Kant (but I guess you know because you use noumena). Objects only present themselves to us in the way we can perceive them. All sensory data is being arranged by yourself inside your own subjective form of space. Time is perceived by nothing but the subject's continuity (as it exists directly in time itself), not from outside changes, otherwise you wouldn't have any reference frame at all while observing your heart-rate and time would seemingly stop by observing a non-moving object.

The best advice I heard about bad trips is to face them head on. You have to just go in there and accept whatever is going to happen. You might get slapped around a bit by the acid but that's the way it is. In the end, you're going to be ok. But you can't resolve this properly by avoiding the confrontation forever.

On LSD I started thinking about Pepes and I started feeling pain and hearing grumbling as if the creature feeding on our thoughts was pissed off that I was feeding it Pepes. So I continued shitposting Pepes into this "God", crazy Escher Pepes and such. It only wants what comes out of us, "genuine emotions" if you will. Not stuff we will into existence.

Let it consume you. Let yourself go. That dread is just your ego holding on. If you can let go of your fear, and with it your ego, you’re in for something special.

Also that ‘brainwashing’ is a good thing. “Man’s desire is the desire of the Other”

most of what I said came from actual philosophers I was simplifying it and relating it to the psychedelic experience. Sneed.
